This lens is remarkably sharp and autofocuses well on my D3100 while allowing me to override the focus (without having to hit a switch) at any time. It does not have any type of in-lens stabilization, but the fast f/1.4 aperture helps to make up for that. The bokeh effects are beautiful.
This is the lens I leave on the camera 95% of the time when taking photos of my daughter.

This is the lens that I got after having sold my 35/1.4 Art.
It is a nice, sharp, compact lens, that works well with my CX, DX and FX cameras, although the sharpness at the border, and vignetting (when used on an FX camera) is bit below par. It isn't designed for FX, so not that surprising.
When used on an FX body a minimal crop might be needed, especially if you are a f/1.4 shooter.
Otherwise, totally viceless, and rugged.
