I have owned this lens for a number of years. It is one of my primary "go to" lenses for my landscape work. Extremely sharp, built like a tank and works as well today as it did 20 years ago.

As an AI lens it will not work with the lower end consumer bodies (D3000, D5000 etc) as the body must have the AI indexing. It works great on the D7000, D300 and better bodies.

I have had this lens for about 9 months now .  I have fallen in love with this little lady. I use it on a D70. The D70 won't meter with this lens but it is good enough that I am willing to work around that and use it anyway. It is sharp and has nice color rendition on the ccd sensor of the D70
