In its day the D1 was the top of the line pro DSLR with a 2.66 MP DX format sensor and a 4.5 fps shooting speed.

Still a great camera.
Colors are muted with no way to crank up the volume.
Excellent B/W.
Antiquated battery system.
Spectacularly fast flash sync.
I like big, clumsy, cheap, exciting cameras with history. This one clicks all my buttons.
