And that's what I call proper camera angle! People should put their cameras on the ground far more often! I love this way of taking pictures. I've spent whole day few months back just snapping from ground level - world looks completely different.

Well done Long Exposure! :)

Great picture. Good effect to have it in B+W

Most Canons render skin better than the comparable Nikon with standard, canned presets. With tweaked settings in both the situation is reversed. (Has been so far at least...)

I like the crop as-is too. The rocks form a nice visual line at ~2/5 and the clouds at ~3/5 that balance each other well. The long exposure gives a calm, quiet feel to the picture where a shorter one might give a harder feeling. Nice work!

Nice LE. I'm a bit sick of water-looking-like-milk shots, but this is a bit different and has movement in it which is neat.

#15777 This is what the D7100 needs..

The Nikon D7100 owners manual on page 347 claimes a UHS-I speed as the fastest the camera can use which is 50mb/s.  So there you have it.

Maybe - or maybe they were justy referring to the fastest know speed at that time? Dunno, your logic sounds more realistic though.

NThe short answer is put EXPEED 4 in the camera then stand back.

If I stand back I won't be able to take photos though!

I know sunsets are sometimes cliche, but sometimes you run into one like this...

Right.  I would suggest there are not that many D4 cameras in the marketplace.  Those with them will continue to use them and not upgrade.  Now with that said, expect a D4x in th enext year or so, as a parallel to the D3x.

I agree with you there...on both counts...

#14822 Nikon D610 viewfinder dioptre adjustment not working

Posted by Jayvee on 31 January 2014 - 08:58 AM

Update:

I'm happy to report that the replacement D610 does not have the same defect, so all is well. Haven't had a chance to try the camera out yet, just so relieved to be able to see through the viewfinder!

Excellent customer service from Amazon by the way!

When the problem with the viewfinder became apparent on the first camera, I 'Googled' and found, to my surprise, that this is not such an uncommon fault. There was a lot of 'stuff' about it on various forums - with the problem affecting both the D600 and D610. Enough reports to make me wonder what, if anything, Nikon are doing about it.

I have been a loyal Nikon user for many years, with three 35mm film SLR's, the D5000 DSLR (which I love) and now the D610. But this experience has somewhat dented my confidence in Nikon. Hopefully my D610 will restore my confidence - and I suppose it's fair to say, that other manufacturers have the occasional hiccup.

Nice shot - with the stretched legs this gives a straight line.

Oh, I don't doubt for a second that it's definitely the right tool for those specialty shooters.
