Nikon D800 discount

20 October 2013 - 08:41 AM

does anyone know if the $200 instant rebate on the D800 is really temporary.  Amazon doesn't show it's temporary but B&H shows it's valid thru 11/1.

NX2 vs ACR

20 October 2013 - 08:18 AM

When I first converted to Nikon I used NX2.  Then I mainly switched to just using LR5 and ACR to convert my images.  Do any of you use Nikon software to process your raw images?  Do you find any quality difference or is the main benefit being able to recognize feature like the picture styles and dynamic lighting?

Greentoe.com?

10 October 2013 - 02:59 PM

Has anyone tried greentoe.com?  I just read an article about it.  It's rated really good on resellerratings.  Basically you enter how much you want to pay for an item, like a camera and it tells you how likely it is you'll get a store to sell it at that price.  It's supposed to be all USA warrantied, new product.  It sounds interesting and would be great if it actually worked but I'm curious if anyone has any experience with the site before I try it.

Thanks.

Anybody tried the Phottix Mitros TTL Flash?

04 October 2013 - 06:17 PM

I saw this and it sounds really interesting and is much cheaper than the SB-910 (and my crappy SB-900 that overheats just by holding it in your hand too long).

It also has a 2 year warranty so that's pretty impressive.

Specifically I'm curious about how it compares to a NIkon brand flash if you've used this new flash.

Adobe.com ID constant password reset

03 October 2013 - 09:51 PM

Adobe announced that they were hacked today and thus are forcing you to reset your password.  However, I am not stuck in a do loop where I reset the password.  Go to login with the new password and get prompted to reset it again.  Anybody else having this problem?
