#14531 what do you like taking pictures of >

Posted by iNYONi on 29 January 2014 - 08:09 AM

I love taking shots of nature, animals or otherwise. Great landscapes too. I've recently got into street photography and love the freedome this gives you as anything goes.

If it looks good in the view finder...I'll snap it.

#12897 What's your New Year's resolution?

You can start by checking out the December issue of Digital SLR Photography. It's got two lighting features: one on smaller studio kits, and one on using flashguns for portraits.

I have had a Flickr account for years, but your posts has made me stop and reflect how I could use it more efficiently in the future.

Just had to bring back this thread after I stumbled across this wonderful, creative work:

OK, I mentioned it to rocknrumble in the other thread, so I guess I have to play along.  Mine is your typical facebook pose: cell phone style in a mirror, with flash blaring!

Rocknrumble,

I'm also full frame, but the two zooms are what I'd go with...if I were going to add a third lens, I'd probably go with the 105 micro since it would give me other capabilities as well - I've actually ended up using macro on some of the weddings I've shot - bouquet , rings, etc.  The other two will give all the coverage you need and the 2.8 should work fine...I think they would work on all but large group shots even with the DX sensor...

Okay, since you guys have opened that can of worms... I've been trying to be ladylike and not mention THOSE ABS! Ha ha!

Good idea, rocknrumble--fun to put faces on some of you. My face is already out there, so maybe I'll have to try a creative self portrait a la Pretty Cranium.

This is as creative as I'm going to get tonight...

But I think a self-portrait challenge is in order!

Clearly I am a cat with a donut body, living in a post-apocalyptic world:
