Hi Folks, not been keeping well of late and just started picking up camera again after a few months.  Getting back into the feel of it in the garden, lucky for me the butterflies decided to hang out as well.

#22423 Looking for a new camera bag

Posted by IanB on 01 June 2014 - 05:16 AM

Well, the bag arrived and i can't fault it, if that isn't a genuine product then they can fool me all day long.  Best £35 I've spent in a long time.  I would have no issues at all in recommending getting one of these from China. A fraction of the cost, delivery was a day earlier than their earliest date and packaged really well. I've tried so hard to pic faults but couldn't. E-bay triumphs again.

#22234 Clueless

Posted by IanB on 27 May 2014 - 10:44 PM

Well i simply don't really like it.  It's a personal taste thing and i don't like the whole style and that it has gotten him where he is.  I think without putting too much effort into it we could all at some point put his portfolio together totally unintentionally in some cases but without being in the right place and time none of us would ever be heard of. If i was to go through my "snaps" i know i could find pictures taken in my car, pictures of topless mates, and i know i have a Jacket hanging on a tree etc.  Are any of them Art, Christ no.

Sorry, whole thing just leaves me cold.

Hi, a couple of shots taken today again with the budget Sigma 70-300.  I am really becoming rather fond of this cheap wee lens, it's much better than i expected and very versatile IMO. The quality does drop off between 250mm and 300mm but when you look at the garden sparrow, or spuggy as we call them locally at 300mm i don't think they are that bad.

Managed to have a little walk round the local cemetery this week and took a snap here or there....

All taken with my D5100 and a Sigma 70-300 DG macro tele, a real budget lens i picked up on e-bay last week to play with.

The cross is f/5, ISO100, 1/100sec at 220mm

The bench flowers is f/11, ISO560, 1/250sec at 195mm

The tall trees is f/5, ISO100, 1/800sec at 70mm

true reflection is f/8, ISO160, 1/360 at 240mm

These are lense focals, times up 1.5 to get the true DX focals.
