Flash suggestion

15 January 2015 - 02:31 AM

I am planning to buy an external flash.

I did several searches about nikon speedlights and made comparisons.

I was using 540fgz when I had a pentax system.

I liked the size and GN of SB800.

Newer models, SB910-900 looks bigger and heavier, the reason should be zoom range I think.

I mostly use it at home and prefer bouncing, generally on camera but sometimes off-shoe and wireless triggering.
Am I on the right way to choose SB800? Is there any critical issue known for this flash?
Any suggestion is welcome.

Generally I dont prefer 3rd party flash equipment, but if you strongly suggest a model ( I guess it would probably be Metz), I will take it in account.

Thanks

Sigma 24-105 vs Nikon 24-120

15 October 2014 - 02:40 PM

Hey friends, I am new to nikon world. My question is;

What are the choices for all around zooms for full frame?

I want more reach than 70mm,

I do not want weird zooms, like 28-300mm.

So, I narrowed the band to;

nikon 24-85,

nikon 24-120

sigma 24-105

am I missing another one?

I read the reviews, prices,dimensions, weight, filter size etc.

My brain goes for 24-120, because of weight(I dont like heavy ones) and more reach and a bit more magnification.

But my heart says to go for 24-105, I have a feeling that it has a better IQ.

What are your oppinions?

Thanks

Hi

Hi there,

I am from Turkey.

I have using pentax equipment for almost 5 years.

My very next aim is to change my system with d750.

I hope it is a good decision.

So lets start it with the forum :)

Have good shoots
