SB-910 Not consistent with TTL Mode

19 December 2013 - 10:05 PM

Apparently my flash is fine for a few shots and then it gives me shot where is clearly under exposing. This only happens in TTL. Not in Aperture mode, neither in Manual mode. I tried to clean the contacts and I went to my camera shop and the tech went back an forth, we try different bodies and lenses and try to replicate the problem.

Certainly is not the camera, it's the flash. No idea.

I have another flash same sb-910 and the screen cracked after I dropped.  So I sent it to Nikon and I'm waiting on parts for a Screen.

So I was wondering if someone has the same problem.

I might rent a couple of flashes to shoot several sessions I have coming.

But this sucks.

I tried wireless mode, set the commander mode on my camera to ttl and it seems the sb910 is responding.  I put it on my hotshoe and here we go again with underexposing and clearly not metering properly.

Oh well, I guess I have no choice but to send it to NIkon and grab your ankles, not because of the price but because they are not selling parts anymore to small repair shops.

and guess what?.... really 3 weeks to wait to get a simple LCD fixed?

Anyone with the same experience?

How to find the perfect Tripod for Virtual Tours and Architecture Real Estate Photography?

02 October 2013 - 06:20 PM

Everytime I want to buy something to my repertoire, it involves countless ours of research. WHo wants to gamble $600 in a bad purchase? Not me.

So I rely on others reviews and use to make my decisions. If you happen to use a tripod for this kind of work I will appreciate your feedback.

Thanks!
