Its not the best, but this is the first photo I ever really did a lot of planning to take. We found a solar calculator online, and found the day the sun would set perfectly inline with our local pier.

 

Oh well,  in 6 months I'll go back, and get it right :)

Tried to get the sun setting under our local pier.  I used some stacked ND filters to try and get a longer exposure.

 

Could some of the artifacts be removed in post processing?

Had an interesting sunset from the Venice South Jetty,  A storm was rolling in right at sunset.

Playing around with a new to us D5200 and some off camera lighting. Popcorn kernel is for size reference. Some sharks teeth I have found since moving to Venice Fl.
