It is like Jerry said, you have ot lock on them when they land. When they do, just star blasting. LOL!
I live nature. I am done for today. Well maybe. Coming up on the "golden hour" might have to do some landscape stuff. LOL!

My lens is to slow. f.5 f stop. I want to stop the wings. It is hard to capture these guys with manual focus. Can I do anything in post production?

I really need to learn about post production. I am all about the RAW capture. My exposure is narfed. The sky was crazy blue today, very vibrant. Not at all dingy like these pictures.

Well I bought an extended warranty, so the camera is going to get cleaned. The place is in Georgia, so I will have to ship it, and wait, again, but I want it clean. I got to use it, so I like the camera, so hay, if I get it out this week I can hopefully have it back next week. I guess
National Geographic will just have wait a little longer for the newest star in raptor photography.

I walk everywhere in my home town. I fell of a building in 2008, died, was resituated, and spent 6 months in 3 different hospitals for a traumatic brain injury. My reaction time is slooooooooooow, so I don’t drive. On my walk home last week, I hear this high pitch squealing, and when I look, I see a hawk perched in dead tree, just like in the pictures. In the tree next to it, I see 3 more. I was like holy hawks! It just so happened that was same day I bought the D2H. LOL! So I have been waiting for that darn camera, so I can spend time with my hawks. I walked past that a gazillion times, and never knew they were watching the crazy guy talking to himself! LOL! Today was the first day we hung out, about an hour. I think I am off to a good start. Something is on the lens or sensor. There are spots. That is why I posted the pictures. One, if not all of you, will know. Help!
I was about ran out of film! LOL! The D2H is fast, wow! I have so many pictures. In Adobe Bridge, you can see the wings flap. LOL! I have to get more CF Cards.

Thank you all for the kind words. You three have offered me so much help and encouragement; I am very excited about photography. The camera works awesome! It is so fast, man! It is fast. I notice that when I was switching modes, nothing was really happening, I was perplexed, slept on it, and this morning I came to the conclusion it was in the lens camera connection. Merko_61 has confirmed my suspicion. I want to do HDR lanscapes, but the bracketing feature doesn’t work with the old lenses. Suggestions are welcome. I love this camera, and next month I buying that telconverter. I put an ad on craigslist in my hometown for old Nikon lenses.I am enjoying old school style and I believe that I will learn a lot about photography this way.

This is one of the chipmunks that live outside my patio door. LOL! They hustle across my back porch all day long. I took some test shots today. I think all the features; the priority modes, are not going to happen for me because of the manual lenses. I will go old school, I can play that game.
I know you think I’m crazy for saying this but, National Geographic anyone? LOL!

Thanks Nicole and Thumper!
I just got back from a buy.
For 50 bucks, I bought Rokinion 1: 2.8 28mm wide angle. Going to rock some HDR landscape photo with that.
Rokinion 80-200 macro zoom lens. For birds. Going to have to get a teleconverter to bring it up to 400.
Bogan tripod. The tripod is a tank, but light.
The glass is super clean. Nice lenses. The worst thing that could happen, I’m out 50 bucks. The tripod is worth that.
