Lol, yes. I meant ISO. I do that a lot because I post in tech forums as well.

Focal length, probably 40-50mm, depends.

I will have to post a sample later. Images like that I keep on DVDs filed in a filing cabinet and I am away at the moment.

You've probably already did this but best way to learn is to just take RAW images and put them LR and play around. LR is pretty complex and does a lot. I just started out using it for the basics. Once u master that start learning other aspects of LR. The best teacher is YouTube. There are a million how to vids on LR there. Just about everything I have learned is from YouTube. Search lightroom Julianne Kost.

Some good suggestions and everyone has their own way of doing posed group shots. I've done a million of these type shots and they are fairly easy. Single Speedlight does the trick. I wouldn't be using a long lens (because of depth of field / group / distance from team issues). Use a tripod and drag the shutter to get more light behind and around the team, flash should freeze any individuals as long as you don't shoot at a too high IOS (1/30th is normally were I start). The only issue you might run into dragging the shutter in a gym is matching white balance but you can get it close enough in post. Good luck and post some samples after you complete the job.

In Topic: I am looking for a 70-200 F/2.8 lens for my d3300. Any idea what will work?

They'll work. If possible, borrow a lens and use it for a bit before buying. Of course, if you know someone that has one.
