#38894 Tri- monopod, airport

Posted by Nikonite on 19 May 2016 - 09:19 AM

During my one month ago round trip from Orlando to Las Vegas I had my tripod attached to the outside of my camera bag and carried it on board. No problems ensued through security or on the jet.

Hilarious! What's next a Rambo-ina costume?

This will age me, but when I first read your post I thought of the former rock band "The Doors".

#38735 What software do you use for editing video from your Nikon

Posted by Nikonite on 15 May 2016 - 08:53 AM

I've used Sony Vegas since it was Main concept. It's expensive, but there's a reason you'll find it in most TV stations.

Love the stop action!

#38239 Your Guide to Better Sunset Photos

Posted by Nikonite on 28 April 2016 - 08:02 AM

What I did for the below is set the camera to auto in order for the camera to tell me the settings it thought was best. Then I tweaked the settings from there. However, my settings were only a tad better than what the camera initially told me.

#38152 Wekiva river gator!

Posted by Nikonite on 23 April 2016 - 06:32 PM

I took a kayak trip up the Wekiva river today. This adolescent gator was practicing his camouflage technique, but he didn't count on a 300mm zoom!

#38141 Last look around in Rodez

Posted by Nikonite on 23 April 2016 - 07:56 AM

I'm sure it doesn't have the history of the one in Rodez, but it sure used it as a design model. This organ made an awesome sound!

#38129 MAC Memory

Correct! I have not attempted to build a laptop yet. Although I can say I've practically rebuilt my HP laptop. The monitor failed, the hard drive failed as well as several interface ribbon cables. Needless to say I'm done with HP laptops!

Thanks Bart that's good news and cheers me up just a little!

In certain areas of the world it's dangerous to go to church these days. I'm saddened to know that something as beautiful as your photos is not being used as a place of worship.

#37990 Selecting lens, advice

Posted by Nikonite on 14 April 2016 - 11:55 AM

I agree on 200 not being enough for an air show. When I went back and looked at the data from my last air show 85% of my shots were at 300 mm which is my max zoom.
