2 and 3 are your best for me.

The weather was wet this morning.

This man has sat here every late morning I have passed by the Sub shop since they opened about 15 years ago.

This is a great candid people photo.

Wonder how this differs from the Harvest Moon on Sept 10. It is so huge and orange then.

#79228 Producing Monochrome Images with Shooting RAW

Posted by lightcapture on 24 June 2022 - 05:46 PM

Oh, and lightcapture, I don't really understand your last sentence. You get a much better black & white image from shooting JPEG's or processing a color image?

I shoot RAW and convert to B&W in post, if I want to.

#79223 your best photo of the week ending June 26 2022

Posted by lightcapture on 24 June 2022 - 03:55 PM

I've been getting ready for vacation. So the only photos I've taken this week are the backyard bunnies I took yesterday.

D750 and a 70-300E, at 300mm wide open.

Basic editing using iMac's 'Photos' photo editing software.

#79212 Chevy Truck

Posted by lightcapture on 23 June 2022 - 03:57 PM

Heap?  That could be a fine machine again with some work, might even have low miles!  :P

Good capture, looks great in B&W!

Might need more than 'some work'. Would require quite a few replacement body parts and full engine rebuild. That would be a great project w/ someone having the mechanical means and money.

Nice colors. Lillies are really fun to shoot because they're so eye-catching. I recently shot a nice Tiger Lilly in our backyard.

#79133 Hello from North Carolina

Posted by lightcapture on 17 June 2022 - 10:58 AM

I shot Nikon film cameras in the 1980-2000 in Chicago. Mostly B&W and doing my own developing and printing, but also some slide and color negative film too.

I've lived in NC since 2006 shooting w/ Fuji, then returning to Nikon in 2020 w/ a DSLR and 3 basic lenses.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Mike
