A bridge camera, non removable 67mm filter size lens. Fitted lens covers 24mm to 2000mm. Includes hotshoe and microphone input.Vari-angle screen is fitted. Do not confuse with Coolpix 950 which is a different model.

Using P950 camera for macro flash shooting

I have recently acquired a Nikon P950 camera. I wish to use it for some macro work and need flash to make the shots properly lit. The Godox MF-12 system seems highly recommended. The problem is that it needs a Nikon compatible trigger unit on the camera hotshoe to fire the flash guns. Being a multi-flash system the MF-12 offers more lighting control than a ring flash which only offers fairly flat lighting with no modelling options. There is a Nikon trigger for DSLRs but nobody, including Nikon and Godox seem to know if Godox' Nikon trigger will work on the P950 camera. Any comments about compatibility would be welcome.
