#77577 Tossed salad anyone?

Posted by OldNikonUser on 16 February 2022 - 09:21 PM

105mm f/2.8 Macro, 1/160sec @ f/11, ISO 200

Pluto infrared Trigger & 3 speedlights set at 1/128 for for stop action.

This was a fun project. I built an electromagnet controlled Catapult. When the throw arm crossed the light beam it triggered the camera.

#77483 Alternative Photography

Anthotype photography is an image that is created using photosensitive organic materials, The 2 images shown were coated with Crushed Blackberry and beet juice. Mary Somerville was the inventor and one of the first photo processes used to create an image on paper.

The process is fairly easy. Crush blackberries with a mortar & pestle than add a little denatured alcohol. coat paper and let dry. Place an object, you can also use a negative, on the coated paper. The developing is done by the sun's UV light. You'll need a clear sunny day or UV lamps. Set your project in the sun and wait several hours.

This is a print-out process, meaning that anything covered will not be developed by sun's UV rays.

The only drawback to this is the prints won't last, Maybe a year or two.

Hope I didn't bore ya'll to much and thanks for stopping by.

#77481 Three primes

The wife and I visit a new state park almost every week-end for walks, never an over night, to buggy. We use a FE, D750 and I've found that I use a 24mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4 and a 105 macro f/2.8. If I need to get closer or farther away, I walk.

Thanks for the comments. I myself lean towards the B/W.  A couple of suggestions was that I add a 40-60's tone look and turn on the neon sign.

So, Here's the re-mix.
