What is the most straightforward approach to tethering when all I need is a live view on my Windows laptop of what my Nikon Z6 camera screen is showing?
I want to display live composition in a home studio setting and recently taken images stored on the internal camera card. I prefer not to transfer files to the laptop as I do all of my edits on a desktop, and moving large files causes a lag.
I loaded NX Tether and successfully connected to my camera, but I only saw camera controls, no image.
Would the Webcam Utility be a good option? It seems like overkill to install both NX Tether and an editing program like NX Studio. If that is required, does NX Studio allow viewing images from the camera card?
