Nikon D810 Live View i Button question..

Hi all, new to the forum.

Quick question:

 

in Live View mode, when press the i button, one should be able to adjust the brightness of the screen. However, my brightness icon is inactive (it won't let me select it). Anyone experiencing this as well? How to make it active so I can adjust the monitor brightness in Live View? Thanks in advance.
