In Topic: The new NX Studio: not running on Windows 10 64bit...

Update to my last Update - after going through extensive Driver updates - no change, still shutting down when opening a folder of NEF files.  Oddly, though, if the folder was just JPG files the app stayed open but what's the fun in that, eh?

Then I focused on a new Transfer2 folder with just 38 shots, unlike the previous folders I have been trying to work in with many. many more files.

NX Studio works!  More testing to come but I'm pleased with what it can do.  It may be I just need to manage my storage "plan" and just use NX Studio with fewer files in the Folder.

Update - been back and forth with Support, sending files and dumps.  Still having an issue on a Lenovo 8th gen i7 running Win10Home.  Interestingly, though, the app works fine on an older HP laptop (older gen i5) running the same level OS.  Must be a driver or hardware compatibility issue, for me, not sure why others may have issues and why many seem to have no issues.

BTW - Nikon Support thinks I have corrupted files on the Lenovo but I have not been able to confirm.  The files on the HP are the same (copied over) as the files on the Lenovo but work fine on the HP.

Same issue - also reported to Nikon Support.  NX Studio shuts down, sometimes immediately, sometimes after a minute or two of navigation between folders, or attempting to open a NEF file to view or edit. My MS Event Log is indicating the problem is caused by Asteroid11.dll (apparently a Nikon file) installed with NX Studio.  I'll post when I hear back from Nikon.  BTW - I have tried the reinstall of the software package several times with no change to the symptoms.
