Have had my P1000 for a year now, and pretty good with it. It was stowed away for a few months, and then I started having this issue. To film a long zoom in or out, I would zoom to 3k mm, manually focus sharp, them set up for my shot which would remained focused at any amount of zoom; however, now it shifts just out focus as soon as I trigger the zoom.
Has anyone had this or heard of this? What's a typical fix entail? My first guesses would be it got knocked, and/or had some moisture freeze inside. The nearest Nikon repair available to me is extremely far away. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
