Hey,
I've owned D750 for a couple of months now and I have an issue with autofocus in live view.
I tend to shoot in live view, but in that mode I always have to use the focusing square. If I want the autofocus to focus the lens in some object that is not in the centre of the screen where the green square by default is, I have to move the square manually. But this is the problem. While in viewfinder, the autofocus finds the focus even if the object is not in the centre without me having to move the square.
I used to own a sony with electric viewfinder and a live view, and in both of the possible view modes, the autofocus searched the different points of focus from the screen.
My question is that why cannot I use such an autofocus in live view? Why do I have to use the square focusing? If I take say, a leaf, and place it in my cameras view, the autofocus will not focus on the leaf it it isnt in the centre or on the square, I have to manually move the square, and that is so unwieldy and slow? How come Sony had that focus mode in both live view and viewfinder, but d750 not?
Is this a logical problem with the technology or just a lack of feature?
Thanks!
