Greetings from NZ

05 February 2014 - 06:27 PM

Hello everyone - I largely consider myself an ameature with photography prefering to capture weather effects, clouds and storms, Although I like shooting video of lightning I actually caught my first bolt a month back (in still form). it is just a pop of light on the horizon, but it was a cool feeling.

Upgraded from a point and shoot camera (canon) to a Nikon d3100 about 10 months ago with standard 18-55 lens, can't complain about quality.

I have attached 2 of my favourite shots.

Attached File  marleyph-fog.jpg   34.51KB   106 downloads

Attached File  snow-drop.jpg   44.96KB   130 downloads

that one moment I wished I had my camera?. October last year and a beautiful waterspout develops off the coast :/. follwed by 3 more funnels. Since there was not a flicker of lightning I believe I may have witnessed a fairweather funnel.

cheers

Marley
