AF-SNikkor 24-120mm will not focus

14 July 2020 - 03:31 AM

Hi All, I have a D610 fitted with AF-SNikkor 24-120 ED Lens. The camera was working fine when last used a couple of months ago. Now it has developed a problem. If the lens is set to 24mm it appears to work ok but once the focus is on anything greater then 24 mm the auto focus will appear to vibrate as if to try and focus for about10 seconds and stop: it will stop vibrating if you return the focus to 24mm also. if you press the shutter release again the some thing will be repeated. It does not matter the lens is set to auto or manual the problem still exists. I have reset all user settings to factory settings but the problem still exists.  Tks for any assistance.
