Sb5000 manual flash broken

Hello, I dropped my sb5000 again. I have repaired the shoe but the zoom flash does not work and shows error. I shoot flash in ttl all the time... do I need to,really get the zoom flash fixed...I do shoot at times at 200mm with flash ...will it really affect the photos shot in raw?
