Hello from Florida

11 January 2020 - 12:26 PM

I'm Bob.  I've been making photographs for a good while now.

I started with my dad's old German camera with some black and white film. The camera was an 'Exa - Jhagdd Dresden. I still have it but I don't use it.

I did this to see if I liked it and to see if I was any good.

After that experience I purchased an N2000 after doing some research. Then I had a customer who provide me with some 'swap' product. I provided computer and he, Nikon cameras. He gave me an EM, and old F and the one I really worked hard, an F3 HP. In addition to the bodies I obtained lenses from 10 - 300mm including some rather impressive glass such as the 180mm 2.8 EDIF.

I've been fortunate to be able to make images with some of the great photographers.

In the mid-late '80s, Bill Fortney introduced me to photographers such as:

John Shaw

John Netherton

Art Wolf

and many others.

This happened at events such as the 'Great American Photography' weekends and events in Cumberland Ky.

I recently purchased a 'kit' consisting of D7500 and two lenses. While I like the lenses I'm not sure where I'll go from there. The 180mm 2.8 works in manual mode and auto focuses. Most of the other lenses also work but I've not had too much time to 'play' with those combinations yet.

I joined these forums to get more information about the ES-1 slide copier working with the D7500. I have the Micro-NIKKOR 55mm f/2.8 which should work with it. My questions about this are not for here but rather I'll start a topic once I locate the proper 'category'.
