#15018 Q&A Thread for D610 Giveaway

Last post I saw from Adam yesterday said he was still validating entries.  I guess some folks claimed certain entries that were not really earned.  Sounds like he's trying to make sure that the drawing is fair and folks don't win by claiming extra entries.  As noted in the math, not a high chance for any of us, but I'm fine with whatever delay is required to make sure it is as fair as possible for all!

May the odds be ever in your favor!

#14955 To prime or not to prime. That is the question?

I have my 35mm 1.8G lens and absolutely LOVE IT! I hardly will even use a different lens, I almost wish that the d3200 would come with it, it really teaches beginners how to use a camera. Not sure if this helps, but hope it does.

I believe it just means that if you had 100 posts, you could get more entries in the contest. Kinda like the number of tickets you buy in a raffle.

I just wasn't sure if it meant I was disqualified for not having enough entries...

Look at it mathematically. 6619 total entries. I think the maximum number an individual could earn was 47.

47/6619 = 0.007 * 100 = 0.7% chance

Those are thin odds for even the highest ticket holders.  So, even if you had 6 entries (a minimal effort to say the least) your 0.1% chance of winning isn't TOO far off from the highest holder.

In short... it's really anyone's game!

Lol I had done the math right from the beginning, but I'm glad that you posted that to give everyone a bit of hope!

So, I'm going through all the giveaway entries right now to make sure they're valid.  Some of the stuff I'm seeing is pretty entertaining, but for the most part things look good.  Should have the winner picked out soon!

Oh man the suspense is killing me! Even thought I doubt I'll win, I still have high hopes for the one who does as well as this forum!
