I am trying to get this lens repaired.   It doesn't focus well and the macro switch is very hard to move.  

On the Nikon repair web site it asks what I am getting repaired.  I typed in what is above and nothing came up that allows me to click on it.

There is a number I found near the mount - US 290016,  is that the serial#?

Any help is appreciated.

Hey - New to the forum - my problem is that there are times my shutter does not work.  I can press it all the way but it does nothing.  After trying a few times it will be OK.  Usually it will stay OK as long as it in use.  Any ideas?

Is there any way that I will know when my question appears, or is answered?

A suggestion - When I was setting up an account the "I am not a Robot" test was quite difficult for someone with bad vision - and it was not clear if it was case sensitive.

My name is John, I live a little north of Boston.  I have always wanted a Nikon and am now in a place to get one.  I am having some issues so be ready for some questions.

On my 5600 there are times when after I put a lens on the view screen says Lens not attached.  Does not matter if it is a Nikon or Tamron Lens;

Sometimes it helps to release the lens and click on again - several times.  If you say clean the contacts please tell ne how, and with what.
