Just installed it in my Z6. Unfortunately, I no longer have a cat to try it on. My neighbour has a one-eyed stray he adopted, I might try it out on him.

Sorry. I didn't mean a firmware update, but the one where the camera has to be returned to Nikon.

I checked the serial no. on the Nikon site and it doesn't need the update.
