In Topic: D7500 / SB-700 Off Camera issue

@Merco - I think you are correct.  I'm not certain because I reset all menus and then applied the above settings.  But I hadn't noticed the control beam going off before.  Thank you.

@Ron - I'm going to go that route.  Since reading your post, I've been looking at a Godox Xpro-N i-TTL.  Any other suggestions?  Thank you.

In Topic: 2 Menu Questions...D7500 and probably others

Example:

In choosing an Exposure Metering Mode, one of the options is "Spot", the symbol being a dot inside a square.

Another option is "Highlight-Weighted", the symbol being a dot inside a square with an asterisk.

"Spot" mode (with the exception of when you have also selected Auto Area AF-area mode)  is going to meter on a single focus point that you select.

"Highlight-Weighted" is similar to "Spot", but instead of metering exclusively on the single focus point, it is going to meter based on the Focus area selected, but put more "weight" on the single focused area or highlighted area.

Of course your lens has to be compatible with Highlight-Weighted metering for that to work.

So in this case, it's really just an additional option.
