Testing My Macro Adaptor

11 January 2019 - 11:53 PM

Well I figured I would stay in and work with my macro adapter today and work on my basic Manual Mode Skills. I think I took everything people have been telling me about my ISO settings etc and put it to good use.

First Shot I played around wanted to do water drops but didn't realize had to be on top the water with the macro adapter so thats later.

I tried it out on my dirty hand from work lol it was hard holding camera still and pointing at my other hand.

Camera: Nikon D3500 DSLR

And for the grand Finally once I was happy with my settings I set up a shot for everything composition depth of field lighting etc

Please give a critical critique of the entirety of the photo as I been listening to what everyone has told me and think that I got it in this shot

A Walkaround the Hood

06 January 2019 - 05:11 PM

Here are some B&W I took while doing a walkabout my neighborhood today. it  was overcast, abt 10 deg F, 30-40 mph winds and freezing.

These are with Nikon CoolPix A10 auto pocket camera. I was mainly going for composition so feel free to rip me on them as it will only make me better, the rest not much control over.  Also there has been no post done on these other than resizing. All are of the same location from 3 different angles.

Hello everyone glad to be here

06 January 2019 - 12:10 AM

My names Joe and I am from Moline, Illinois USA the heart of the plains so no cool oceans and mountains to photo but a lot of cool stuff as we are a Major nesting area for Bald Eagles and Pelicans and Cranes on the Mississippi river here.

I have always done photography but with just normal cameras. I finally ordered myself some Christmas presents this year so Monday I will have me a shiny new camera. Below is the rig I will be starting with until I can afford my 100 mm Macro lens and some better non kit lenses. I am hoping to be able to take some really nice photos finally and learn how to improve them.
