Hi!

I've read Nikon sometimes break 3rd party batteries by firmware upgrades. Is it possible with the D750 to downgrade firmware, does it accepts older firmware files then installed? Is there a place to get the older firmwares? The last version came out few days before breaks any compatibility?

I'am new to Nikon, Pentax never broke compatibility with batteries.

I'am currently (semi)switching from pentax APS-C to Nikon FF, I would like to get a D750 + lenses. My light and small family photographing kit remains the Pentax KP + small primes and a travel zoom.

I would like to switch my "professional" kit to Nikon FF, so I need a 24-70 F2.8 and a 70-200 F2.8. I've choose the Tamron 24-70 F2.8 G2, and I'am hasitating between the Tamron 70-200 F2.8 G2 and Sigma 70-200 F2.8 Sports. Weather resistance is important for me.

For primes I'am much less confident, but my candidates are the Sigma 35 F1.4 Art, Tokina Opera 50 F1.4 and the Nikon 85 F1.8G.

The Tokina has similar IQ as the Sigma 50 F1.4 Art, but it's weather resistant. What are your opinions about the AF with the Tokina?

I'am not realy interested in ultra wide/longer telephoto lenses, I had both with the Pentax, I rarely used them.

What do you think about this kit? What would you choose if you had nothing now? Thanks!

I have started photography with a Pentax K-30 in 2013. My main interest is portraits and events. Currently I'am selling half of my Pentax gear to buy a Nikon D750 and some lenses.

For the family shots I keep my Pentax KP and the film cameras because of their size.

I'am an engeneer, I like thechnology and gadgets. I'am on pentaxforums with the same username. I'am looking forward to learn a new system and improve my photography.
