In Topic: Lens gray marking

16 March 2024 - 09:40 PM

I don't mean to hi-jack this topic, just asking. I had read that Nikon stopped the 5 year warranty on all lens. I purchased my 70-200 f2.8 from B&H and ask if it was US or Gray market before I got it, the assured me it was US. the warranty is 1 year.. ?

Very useful page ! Marked it.... I remember now reading something about the D850 and needing to convert the files for versions of lightroom... Will work with the Nikon software for now, just playing with the Bracketing to see what it was.

Thanks

In Topic: Battery and Recharge Suggestions

Thanks for your input. I think my drain till dead is from old school thinking of battery memory and need to run down before charge.

I use the charger that came with the camera, does Nikon make one that is better for keeping the battery conditioned for longer life.

I purchased a second battery when I got the new D850 ,  got a EN-EL-15c , I think it is just like the one that came with the camera. Does Nikon sale a higher / longer life battery for the D850?

Thanks

Thanks for the info Ron. Rather than start a new topic for this I will ask in this one as it is about the software. For now I will hold off on the monthly subscription, I may realize the need if things change. I tested on my D850 with Bracketing , it was set for 3 exposure with extream on both sides. I was reading the Nikon Software will not do Braketing from my understaning. So I question when you say the Lightroom 5 is so old . Would it be too old to work with Bracketing pictures?

Thanks

Michael
