I'm a D and happy to remain so.

In high school I was so crazed about photography I got a job as a darkroom assistant in a local wedding 'emporium' where I pestered the owner so much he finally let me start shooting weddings. In college I shot traditional yearbook stuff and art classes. I shot all the 35mm slides for classroom presentations. Before "PowerPoint" classroom presentations were done in 35mm slides usually for the art department but also the science and technical departments. After college my intensity waned and I only shot family or vacation shots (very artistically).  Getting back into it now that I'm retired.

I did one wedding. It was "Star Wars" themed. Does that count?

Hi. My name is Al and I like to take pictures.

I've been into photography for about 60 years; 3 or 5 of them professionally.

I bought my first Nikon at 17 and never looked back.

I'm looking to finally learn what the heck I'm doing. Or at least hang out with people who are doing the same.
