Does this sequence work or do you think it is  too cluttered? 

Taken on my recent Alaskan cruise. If you haven't made it to Alaska you owe it to yourself to do so. It is beautiful there..

One of these days I"lI figue out how to get the eye properly exposed. All the black drives my camera (and me) nuts. 

There has been a major, and successful, effort to reestablish them here In Southern New jersey. The local wildlife refuge has lots of nesting pairs every spring and they are a joy to watch. Here is one of my favorites from last year,. I call it "Domestic on the marsh".

The weather here in South Jersey has been too nasty to get out much but Thursday was an exception. A quick trip to the wildlife refuge found lots of ducks and geese. Here is my favorite.

I wanted to try to play with DOF so focused on just the middle birds in this flock. I kinda like the way it draws the eye to center frame. What do you guys think?

I dont know of they qualify as "best" but they are ones I still enjoy looking at. I guess for my first year with a DSLR I can brag a bit. 

It's been a hectic holiday season but I hope to get some more time for photography. This is a little late for last weeks entries but I kinda like it and want to share I call it "The snows of winter"

How do you like that 18-400?  I almost bought that but got the 16-300 instead to keep the weight down.

This was it's first trip out. The convenience factor makes it a worthwhile buy. It seems to be sharp but its real easy to have your hand on the focus ring and inhibit the autofocus   

The mirgration has not really started in full yet but the refuge is still a beautiful place to visit.

Still working on my "negative space" project

These guys are tough to get a good image of because they are always moving.

The waterfowl migration hasn't started here yet but there is still beauty to find if you look.

I'm trying to get something useful for the club's November contest " negative space". What do you guys think of this and do you think it fits the criteria?
