A refurb D200? Seriously?

I would be extremely surprised if Nikon were still selling refurbished D200 considering the age of the camera.

An new to this forum so bear with me. IMO a 3xxx or 5xxx would be a good starting point for a beginners camera. In the main I believe it’s beginners that these models are aimed at.

Just stumbled across this forum. Am keen to improve my overall photography skills and try and get the best out of my current DSLR a D7000. Would say I was somewhere between beginner and hobbyist. Would ultimately like to venture into the world of FX when financial circumstances allow. Interested in shooting portaits of my family and friend and keen to experiment with macro photography. Hoping I'll pick up useful tips a and advice from those with more experience than me.
