Video problem can anyone help please?

11 September 2017 - 12:50 PM

Hi everyone, I really hope someone can shed some light on a problem I'm having. Any thoughts on this appreciated as I'm at a loss.

It's a problem with flashing diagonal banding on video clips that I've uploaded from my cameras. I noticed it ages ago on my D3200 and tried to find a solution and failed. I decided it was a camera fault not worth having repaired so abandoned trying to solve it. However having bought another Nikon (D800) I am having the exact same problem.
So it's not a camera fault. The clips look fine on playback on the cameras.
I also have a Canon camera and I have no issues with this. It's just the Nikons.

I have tried all sorts of different software to upload to my comp including Adobe Bridge and Nikon's ViewNX-i, even just dragging and dropping from the camera file to a comp file. Nothing works.

I thought it might be some sort of known conflict, possibly with Windows 10 (as I don't remember a problem before having this) but I would expect to see other people with the same problem if it was that and I can't find anything.

Any thoughts, suggestions, help, anything would be really appreciated!

I put a clip up on YouTube when I was first trying to sort this out with the D3200, (it's exactly the same with the D800) so you can see the problem I'm having.

Thanks in advance :)
