In Topic: Can you recomend reasonable priced ND filters for D7100 52mm

08 December 2013 - 01:43 PM

I am hoping to carry out some day light long exposure shots and understand that it is recomended, particularly if you are photographing waterfalls etc, to use ND filter. I live in the UK and I am looking for recomendations for UK sourced ND filters for my D7100. I already use 52mm UV filter on a couple of my lenses. Being a Scot, I am also looking for reasonable priced ND filters that won't break the bank. Can anyone assist or share some tips about the use of them, particularly on D7100?

But Miss already has a 70-300 and wants more reach...the 200 with a 1.4 only reaches to 280...Thus the discussion of the 80-400 and other lenses vs. the TC...

my idea was based on an assumption that missy is not using a FX camera there for at 200 with 1.4 equals 420 there for making the 70-200 a reasonable purchase within a reasonable budget. A little thought was put into the reply not a foot in mouth reply

D3100 or D3200 for a beginner are fantastic cameras plus a built in guide, some will say not helpfull others will say invaluable. go new. get the waranty.

I started with the D40, broke it, so went to the D3000 which at the time i thought was not as good as the D40. But always go new in the begining.

Yeah :/

If the budget allows i suggest the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 plus the 1.4 tc should come in at just under £1000. Going for the prime lens is one heck of a lot more. Also suggest a good google search to see who are doing deals here in the UK. Possible on a 0% deal somewhere? It is down to what you can afford to be spending.

Go on google daily or any other search engine and when it looks like the price you want to pay then buy it. i do not think there is any such time as a good time. For beginners in the UK currys has a great deal at the moment.
