We are off on a tangent at the moment, but perhaps someone who has a body with the green auto setting can make an experiment so we all know how they work when it comes to raw with Auto. This question is still a tangent and not full-on off-topic IMO.
A photo taken with my D750 in green mode shows it took a raw file.

By mascot logo do you mean just the one on the floor or also the one on the wall? And, if both, what are you going to do about the purple doors? The white floor will likely also be a problem if you want the background dark unless you shoot from a high vantage point. Even then it could be tricky.

Just the one on the floor. I'll see if we could use a wrestling mat or two to cover up the floor behind the logo. They're about the same color as the lower half of the wall in the photo. Would that make it a bit easier to get the background dark?

Basketball season has started here in W AK. It is probably the #1 sport in rural Alaska, followed by wrestling, volleyball, skiing and cross-country. Our local school is part of the state's 1A class which makes up the bulk of Alaska's highschools that have less than 60 students. The district's 1A conference is the Bering Sea conference has a total of 14 schools that participate in various sports but currently only 11 have BB teams, the 12th team this year is made up of 2 schools due to not enough players for each school. Both my sons are on the BB team this year, one is a freshman and the other is a senior. Hopefully this will be the year that they take the district title, something that hasn't happened since the last century , but there are at least 3 or 4 other teams that have a chance at the district title too. It should be an exciting year to watch and photograph. I plan on following them to a tournament hosted by Nome, AK next month before heading out to Unalakleet for the district tournament so the bulk of my photos will be about basketball. Enough of that, here's a few photos taken during last weekend games.

Do you want to see the photo you just took on the screen? Turn on image review in menu > playback menu.
It would help if you'd post what you are expecting and the model of your camera.

It's been a windy week here with some flooding in between so I haven't been out taking a lot of photos. Here's a couple I took yesterday during my ride through the beach. Would've took more but it's still pretty windy and raining. Unusual weather for this time of the year, no sea ice and very little snow on the ground. Taken with my Tamron 70-200 VC and D750.
Happy New Year!

Sent the seller a message asking for a refund, even though they don't accept returns, along with the shipping fee. Hopefully it will be resolved without any problems. I was really stoked in getting this lens to compliment my 70-200 2.8 VC lens for use in the upcoming basketball season. Thanks for all your feed back. Will let you know what the seller says.
