I'll jump the gun with this one.

I've got nothing this week but more rifle porn. I picked this up yesterday simply for a light, ''walkabout'' rifle. Ruger M-77 in .308 Winchester, (7.62x51mm NATO).
Nikon D-700 Nikkor 50mm f1.8 AF non D lens
1/100 f5.6 M 250
The model with a tang safety. Nice.

Weather has been pretty wet here for the last month or so with just a few days of sun. I haven't been taking any photos worth posting here until a couple days ago when the sun finally came out long enough to go take a few photos of these Rough-legged Hawk chicks.
A few weeks ago there were two chicks in the nest. A Crested Auklet is the menu for the chick.

4 of 5 chicks left from this nest. 5 chicks is the most I've ever seen in one nest but, this is the first time I came upon this one. The other nest usually had 2 at the most.

Nikon claims that leaving d5300 on does not consume battery. That's a lie.
I added a power grip with 2 batteries to mine and can happily shoot hundreds over 2 days no problem
Maybe you can add a grip to yours?
The B600 doesn't have a grip accessory. It has extra batteries for about $28 though.

Hi, is it a common knowledge or is my filter having an issue?
The blurriness is very light but visible on comparative shots right on the camera screen, and I don't even have to zoom to the max
Probably. Post a couple photos, one with the polarizer and one without, taken one after each other of the same subject for a better answer.

It's because the image quality is set to NEF (RAW). So, you will also need to choose the quality of the JPEG version in Menu > Photo Shooting Menu > Image Quality. e.g. NEF (RAW) + JPEG normal.
