I prefer D3400. It has longer battery life than D3300 and also has bluetooth and smartphone remote control whish are absent in D3300.

I prefer using hood because in outdoor photography excess light is a problem for maintaining exact contrast level that I want.

I think one shouldn't use third party batteries. Stick with your original brand. Most of the cases third party batteries suck.
