I used one for a while, a few years back. It produced excellent results as long as I did t ask too much of it in terms of low light, etc. People seem to either love or hate the handling of the pro-sized Nikons, l love them. You should have lot of fun with it although I have to say - that’s a lot of metal to carry about in terms of its capabilities compared to more modern cameras.

Between the 7D and the D3, I have to choose the D3 as the 7d, admirable as it is for its day, has a limited DR and a worse signal to noise ratio. John has done an admirable job shooting around these limitations, especially near the end of the month, but the 12 MP FX sensor wasn't beatable by any DX or APS-C lens for a couple of generations. A 7D Mk II would have given the D3 a bit more of a fight.
I agree, the D3 is the better camera.
I’m getting used to the 7D now, I can work around it’s strange ergonomics and I quite enjoy shooting with it. The DR, though, is really very poor. However the lenses are sublime and I will miss them when I return to Nikon!

I’m doing it now…
So, from Lupe it’s ‘Art Mobile, paint your wagon’. Well observed and nice composition. Great shot.
From Peter it’s this one…

Love the colours and I do like a wide angle used close up to make the most of perspective. Great shot.
Of my own, I probably like this one best.

It’s nearly the end of the month and I haven’t managed to post as regularly as I’d hoped. Here’s some from this weekend though.
Canon EOS 7D & EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM
…and this one. If I’d included it in the same upload as the others, it would undoubtedly have displayed sideways on!
