Beach Art

01 June 2018 - 02:24 AM

Having just come back from a weeks holiday on the Isle Of Skye, some of my best shots, were not sweeping landscapes or taken on visits to the usual tourist spots. Instead I found myself on a lonely beach far from the tourist buses and crowds.

As the tide went out, the black sand mixed with the with sand to create stunning shapes. I spent a few hours each night trying to get the best shots, there were a couple of people about, walking dogs so some have footprints on or around them.

I may have to have a couple printed up and framed.

Beach Art

Just back from a week's holiday on Isle of Skye. I noticed on one beach that had a mixture of black and white sand, when the tide was out, water would run down and cut through the sand, leaving these fantastic pictures. I couldn't resist getting a few shots of them.

Over the last year and a half I've been busy trying to get my photography business off the ground, tried re-branding, advertising and just getting nowhere.

On Monday I had a meeting with a professional marketing adviser. He specializes in photographers (He also runs his own photography business). So he knows what he's doing.
Since then we have both been very busy updating my social media and website.

I would be very, very grateful if you could take 5 mins from your day to visit my site www.inyoniimages.com and if you get a chance and have facebook/instgram, please have a look at these also.

Any feedback or ideas you may have would be  great.

A fantastic outdoor portrait session with Model Jo.

I had no plans for this one and thought i'd just see what happened as we went along. Taken in Merchant City area of Glasgow.

I've been playing around with some ideas on how to market myself and my photography. Thinking about what attracts us to big advertising campaigns, big bold images and catchy tag lines.
The trend these days is for a very minimal start with just an image and a tag line, nothing to say what the product is or even where to go look for whatever it is.
Here's my first "Advert/commercial".
