here what i got from FIT college game. Z6 FTZ mount gen 1 nikon 70-200mm 1/1000 sec. f/2.8 155mm ISO 5000 with - 1./7 exposure to photo. had to do that do to fact did not want to shot at 8k to 10k iso. so made lower with exposure set that way with edit rest in lightroom. its great combo i have more photo i can share so hit me up if want to see more. also does great portraits too.

Doesn't seem like it adds much to the bottom of the camera. Why didn't you just get a Nikon Z series battery pack?

the cost of it. cost was out of budget

give tip have kit 24-70mm great lens and give better shoots then 50mm since your closer to sensor same if at 24mm if where to use my 12-24mm F/4 DX lens. since your closer to sensor get way better photos.

few question need to be ask. are you DX aka crop body or Full Frame. to if Crop body you have DX 85mm macro. or have 60mm or 105mm macro for for full frame. not sure if Sigma still has 105mm macro lens on sell i got and will be one my three main lenses to use. also budget will help out too.

The Micro-Nikkor 105/2.8 AF-D is sharp, I tested against the new AF-S Micro-Nikkor 105/2.8- the latter was not as good. The online comparisons of the two lenses seem to agree with the test I did. A friend at work bought the new one for her D850, was disappointed in the performance. She was right, new Nikkor the lens is not as good as it should be. The AF-D lens was designed in the age of film, where you could not get rid of chromatic aberration so easily. The new lens- the marketing department must have designed it.
I've not used the Sigma 105. Would be interesting to compare with the Nikkor AF-D version.
when i get the lens and take photo with it i share then on this thread. since in jan should be hitting up one best botanical gardens in CFL area. should get some great shots

dogbytes if see what i have in my gear bag make his look smaller. since i have D7200 Z6 FTZ nikon lens 70-200mm nikon gen 1 12-24mm dx 24-70mm 85mm and tamron 150-600mm gen 1 in my bag along with teleconverter and flash and pouch and to hold 4 battery's 2 XQD 2 sd memory cards. also will have 85mm with me too. since never know what lens will need when out and about or when doing shoot stuff. since want to make sure have all ranges cover and type of shooting. i also use to hold all my gear to store in one spot.
