#73807 New Camera

Posted by fallout666 on 08 June 2021 - 01:29 PM

for $2000 can get Z5 or Z6 and be good. but all depends on how many full frame lenses you have. also keep in mind Z6 use XQD cards not cheap and need card reader for C port aka thunderbolt port. not also can get D780 or D750 for your range or D7500 or D500 best bet. but should upgrade to full  frame and see the light how much better it is over crop body

Looks good.  I've always used a solid light blue, like the sky on a clear day, or a decent size cardboard.

where i live in FL hard to do since always over cast since raining season now. to dark and overcast to do so.

#67861 getting Meike MK-Z7G Hand Grip for Nikon Z7 and Z6 Cameras

Posted by fallout666 on 16 May 2020 - 06:33 PM

What about the integrity of the water resistance with the battery?  Is it affected?

Thank you.

I don't believe that it connects to anything internally so water resistance shouldn't be an issue.

There is no gasket between the grip extender and the body and the battery door sits in the extender. This will theoretically affect the weather sealing.

There is nothing to stop you from applying a thin bead of caulking to the Meike, put tape on the bottom of the camera and tighten it down to create a seal if it worries you.

If the battery usually lasts for your shooting day, you can just leave the battery door in place and charge through the USB port.

since i own said item and love it. also all it does make better feel in the hands and not have to pay high price for hot swap batter grip with no buttons too.we will have no batter grip with buttons in for Z6 Z7 unless third party makes one. if you do not keep really tight fit to body water will get into battery area. since moves door to bottom of grip. so if you take ruler that we use in usa you see your one line below the 1 mark on ruler in space so be care full since door that far from where battery sits. also have 2 holes to use to screw in to tripod or monopod or like screw for my black rapid strap too. will come back in few days check on this topic again. if have any more i can give some

#66765 Should I switch?

Posted by fallout666 on 26 February 2020 - 04:51 PM

if not sure should switch then rent or test out Z6 i went from owning D7200 for 6 month and D5300 for 2 1/2 years before i  got Z6 never looked back. but never got to see true pace the D7200 can give me. since was more happy with what full frame body game me. and fact get better quality from crop off full frame photo then double crop from DX body. also do not sell  then body keep as backup or second setting. since over time you might like the D7100 or need backup or second setting camera for a shoot. with out having to change lenses all time or setting when switch to another style of shooting

#66662 rumor has the Z body's get firmware update on feb 20 2020

#66490 Nikkor 70-200 2.8 VR version 1 on Z6

Posted by fallout666 on 29 January 2020 - 04:53 PM

here what i got from FIT college game. Z6 FTZ mount gen 1 nikon 70-200mm 1/1000 sec. f/2.8 155mm ISO 5000 with - 1./7 exposure to photo. had to do that do to fact did not want to shot at 8k to 10k iso. so made lower with exposure set that way with edit  rest in lightroom. its great combo i have more photo i can share so hit me up if want to see more. also does great portraits too.

#66344 getting Meike MK-Z7G Hand Grip for Nikon Z7 and Z6 Cameras

Posted by fallout666 on 21 January 2020 - 05:48 PM

Doesn't seem like it adds much to the bottom of the camera. Why didn't you just get a Nikon Z series battery pack?

the cost of it. cost was out of budget
