Hi guys

My first foray into dslr photography with an excellent D5500. I`m not new to imaging as I use a cooled ccd camera with a telescope in my observatory taking stellar spectra in fits format. I`m just sussing out trials of various post processing packages available such as Lightroom,Dxo optics pro, Acdsee Ultimate 10 and Nikon`s own excellent Capture NX-D. Lots more questions coming to come  ;)

regards

Steve

Acdsee Ultimate 10 install on other pc`s

08 October 2016 - 06:54 AM

Hi folks

Wondering if any Acdsee users on here could clarify something please?. I`m still awaiting a reply from Acdsee but non received yet.

I`m currently running a trial version of Acdsee Ultimate 10 on an oldish desktop which is working fine at the moment but I`m thinking of changing it soon.

The license wording reads -

2.7 Use Restrictions – You shall Use this Software in compliance with all applicable laws and not for any unlawful purpose. Each licensed copy of this Software may be used on one single computer location or workstation. ........

Now if I buy a license for Acdsee and its activated on my present pc with a code given to me by the company I assume I won`t be able to uninstall it and then install it on my new pc with the original code or will I ??. My thinking is that the code will be linked to the Windows signature of the old pc and so non transferable to another. They do say they will give an activation code for 2nd pc for only $9.99 which is fine but does the original code still need to be active?.

I think that makes sense ...just <_<

cheers

Acdsee ultimate 10 anyone?

08 October 2016 - 05:55 AM

Hi guys

New to dslr photography and the forum and Hi from the UK :) .

I`m currently trying out various post processing packages Lightroom,Dxo optics pro,Capture NXd etc and also using a 30 day trial of Acdsee Ultimate 10 which I`m finding very useful and wondering if others have tried it as I gather its only new out?. I`m quite impressed with Nikon`s own Capture NX-D and dealing with raw files it seems to be able to hold its own with the big boys but as I`m pretty inexperienced with post processing I`m not sure what I`m looking for yet but the new version of Acdsee seems to have it all AFAIK :) .
