How Many Pictures has My Camera Taken

09 October 2018 - 02:08 PM

I use to look under properties of the last photo I have taken and it would show how many pictures my camera has taken.  I think I did anyway!!!!   NO my mind is not the best anymore.  I no longer find it under right clicking and clicking on properties.   What am I doing wrong?

Thank you in advance and hope everyone is doing well.

Macro Lens Suggestions for Flowers

18 June 2018 - 09:12 AM

I apologize for not being around much lately by as some of you know I an not going well and and on chemo therapy. The first round of Chemo went back wards and now my chemo is of a different mixture. My family are all in Arizona and will be visiting some of the flowe4 Gardens. I told even one it would be nice to have a macro for doing flowers. My oldest son said he would like to buy me one for Father’s Day I just need to pick it out. We can air freight it.

I found this review but for Nikon the reviews were not the the best. I am open to other brands to fit my NikinD7200

Or this one is a bit better review.

I took this photo along with many others. I am still a newbie but I thought this was a good photo. The eyes are very crisp but I was told it was a very poor photo. Yes I was hurt as I was told I either have a bad camera or I don’t know what I am doing. The grass and many areas are out of focus. And they are right.

The photo
2500 Shutter Speed. Yes a bit high but was taking fast moving trains before. Plus since they are hitting me with Chemo (everything will be fine just a bit of a rough road) I have issues with shaking but I do try and rest the camera on something.

D7200
Manual Mode
Aperture is 10
ISO is Automatic

AFC WITH 9 points and single point metering.

Now I found a similar place since this place was far away and changed the Aperture to 20 leaving all the rest the same. Again the background is the same.

Also I took out my old D40x and I get the same results.

So anyway I would appreciate any help or advice.

Yes please critique

SS 1/800. I could have went way lower and not sure why I had it so fast
F 8
Auto ISO 1100. If I would have had a slower shutter this would have been lower

Hockey

26 February 2018 - 10:41 AM

I went to my grandsons Hockey game yesterday. I have questions about what settings one should use. The faces of my grandchildren are fuzzie. The rest of the picture is crisp and clear. I was pointing at the face and figured that maybe the mask or guard was messing with the camera focusing. So I moved to focusing on the chest. Light conditions are poor and I had to move up high on the bleachers to get by the plexiglass.

I have a Nikon D7200 and I used my 80 - 400 since I was up so high.

I used a shutter speed of 1600 and tried faster ones but no luck.
My Aperture was 8 and my ISO was auto. I also tried an aperture of 5.
AFC with 9 points, 3D and 51 points but I seem to have gotten the same results. Although out of the 50 pictures I took I did get about 8 that turned out good so I know the camera can do it.

What settings would you recommend and focus setup?
