I've had the D800 for about three weeks now and I absolutely love the image quality I get from it - so much detail. It's my first digital full frame alongside my Pentax K-5 IIs crop body and what sold me to choosing Nikon over the rest was the 14-24 2.8 lens. The AF is fantastic and I find I'm getting a higher percentage of keepers. I shoot low-light (concerts/events) so I was tossing up between a second hand D3s as well, but I'm finding the size and weight of the D800 to be my carry limit so it's probably better I didn't get the hefty pro-body. The file size is always mentioned but I find I'm managing it fine. I place the NEF files into an external hard drive and work with them via Lightroom from there.

Thanks, feeling mighty welcome now Tony! Currently building an ensemble of lenses for the D800. Hoping to get out with it and shoot heaps over the next few months.
