Thanks again for your quick responses, what do you think of this lens:

In comparison with the 70-300 nikkor we were discussing earlier?

Thanks again - Andy

Hello again couple of quickies, is the RAW format the best quality then?
And what is meant by buffer?

Many thanks again - Andy

Checked out tamron, very nice but yeah way out my price range. I'm a total beginner and most of the things I'm reading about the AF-S nikkor 70-300 VR lens make me think it would be a good zoom lens for a beginner who mostly stands under (fairly small English sized) trees snapping birds and squirrels. What do you think?
Many thanks - Andy
