About Me

I am 22, currently going to school for a management development degree (I want to go into event coordination), and I talk/type absolutely way too much. xD

My mother doesn't have many photographs from her childhood, so she made photography, photo albums, and scrapbooking a huge part of my life from a young age. I received my first digital point and shoot when I was 10/11  and my mother taught me to carry it with me, everywhere I go, and to take photos of everything I feel is important, or anything I just like, or want to remember later on.

However, she is not familiar with photography on the level of DSLR's, editing, post processing, or anything more technological than a basic point and shoot. In high school I made friends with people who owned very nice dslrs, and I was always interested in learning about them, but they were so expensive, and I am a slow learner, especially regarding technology. I didn't want to prematurely invest in a camera before I understood how to work it, and how to make a more informed decision.

So, 6 months ago, I finally started taking beginners digital photography classes at my college, and have finally been learning about and working with dslrs, lightroom, photoshop, and so on. It's so wonderful to finally step into this world that I've always wanted to be a part of, and I'm learning as fast as I'm able, but I still have a very long way to go, and have much to improve upon.

However, my current downfall is the fact that I don't ow my own DSLR and I'm using a rented canon rebel t5, that has been dropped by careless students often enough to be less than reliable.

I have decided I want to purchase a Nikon, based on the variety, quality, and customer service, and now here I am, at this forum!

I'm looking forward to learning from you all!
