My combination for this week will be the D7200 and AF Nikkor 50/1.8D.

 

If anyone else wants to shoot a single lens with me for a week, feel free to post what you get in this thread.

 

Don't forget that the subject says one lens, so you can use your favourite zoom if you want to, it doesn't have to be a prime. The idea behind this exercise is to get in the habit of using our cameras. Remember that the best camera is the one you have with you and are familiar with.

It is still February, streets that aren't heated have ~10 cm of ice and many of us still use a bike for transport...

More than a week late, but...

 

I ended up changing to my 70-200 lens, still with my D500 body.  It was my first chance to use my D500 for sports...The original plan had us heading to the water but we stayed in town and enjoyed some nice weather.  I only got to shoot two days but I do think I got some decent images...

 

I was able to shoot a portion of two different rugby matches.  I forgot how hard it is to shoot field sports with only a 70-200.  With my 200-400 I can grab images that are fairly distant and still get a reasonable image with a crop...I know I missed a few good images because I was too far away to grab them...

 

 

On the way from the rugby matches, I grabbed some images of one of the many trees / plants blooming in the area.

 

 

My boys and a girlfriend took off on Sunday for a Kayak Trip...About 15 minutes later some heavy rain started...luckily it didn't last long and they enjoyed a few hours kayaking down the Neuse River before we met up to pick them up.

 

 

Lastly I had to grab a shot of one of the forsythias in our yard that is in full bloom...
